Confidentiality


Notwithstanding any other law, information obtained by the Department of Family and Protective Services or another entity under Section 33.008 (Physician’s Duty to Report Abuse of a Minor; Investigation and Assistance), 33.0085 (Duty of Judge or Justice to Report Abuse of Minor), or 33.009 (Other Reports of Sexual Abuse of a Minor) is confidential except to the extent necessary to prove a violation of Section 21.02 (Continuous Sexual Abuse of Young Child or Disabled Individual), 22.011 (Sexual Assault), 22.021 (Aggravated Sexual Assault), or 25.02 (Prohibited Sexual Conduct), Penal Code.
