Tex. Gov't Code Section 2158.301
Energy Conservation


If available and cost effective, the comptroller or another state agency shall purchase equipment and appliances for state use that meet or exceed the federal Energy Star standards designated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Department of Energy.

the federal energy conservation standards under Section 325, Energy Policy and Conservation Act (42 U.S.C. Section 6295), or a federal regulation adopted under that Act; or

(2)

the federal Energy Star standards designated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Department of Energy.
