Tex. Gov't Code Section 742.002
Definitions


In this chapter:

(1)

“Designated state agency” means a state agency either designated or established by state law or designated by the governor to coordinate the actions of a local government participating in a federal financial assistance program.

(2)

“Federal financial assistance” means a grant or loan provided by a federal financial assistance program.

(3)

“Federal financial assistance program” means a program established by federal law or rule that provides a grant or loan to a local government.

(4)

“Local government” means a municipality, county, school district, hospital district, or any other political subdivision of a county or the state.
