Tex. Ins. Code Section 1467.082
Establishment and Administration of Arbitration Program

(a)

The commissioner shall establish and administer an arbitration program to resolve disputes over out-of-network provider charges in accordance with this subchapter.

(b)

The commissioner:

(1)

shall adopt rules, forms, and procedures necessary for the implementation and administration of the arbitration program, including the establishment of a portal on the department’s Internet website through which a request for arbitration under Section 1467.084 (Availability of Mandatory Arbitration) may be submitted; and

(2)

shall maintain a list of qualified arbitrators for the program.
