Tex. Nat. Resources Code Section 21.014
Survey for Division Line

(a)

Before running a division line between two settlers or occupants claiming land, the surveyor shall give written notice to the interested parties.

(b)

A survey made contrary to the true intent and meaning of this section is invalid.
