Deductions from Horse Pari-mutuel Pools

(a)

A horse racetrack association shall deduct an amount from each pari-mutuel pool to be distributed as provided by Sections 2028.102 (Horse Racetrack Association Set-asides for Purses; Purse Accounts), 2028.103 (Set-aside for Texas-bred Program), and 2028.104 (Racetrack Association Commission).

(b)

The total maximum deduction under Subsection (a) is:

(1)

18 percent from a regular wagering pool;

(2)

21 percent from a multiple two wagering pool; and

(3)

25 percent from a multiple three wagering pool.
