Tex. Health & Safety Code Section 13.043
Gratuities Prohibited


(a)

A patient in a public health hospital may not offer an officer, agent, or employee of the hospital a tip, payment, or reward of any kind.

(b)

A patient who violates this section may be expelled from the hospital. An employee who accepts a tip, payment, or reward of any kind from a patient may be discharged.

(c)

The department shall strictly enforce this section.
