N.Y. County Law Section 528
Photo recording


In any county in which documents to be recorded in the county clerk’s office are copies by use of a photo copying process, such county clerk may cause the parts of such a document to be separated temporarily to facilitate such process, provided the document is restored to its original form immediately after the completion of such process.
