Tex. Election Code Section 63.002
Signature Roster


(a)

A signature roster shall be maintained by an election officer at the polling place.

(b)

A voter who is accepted for voting must sign the roster before the voter is permitted to vote.

(c)

If the voter cannot sign the voter’s name, an election officer shall enter the voter’s name with a notation of the reason for the voter’s inability to sign the roster.

(d)

The signature roster may be in the form of an electronic device approved by the secretary of state that is capable of capturing a voter’s signature next to the voter’s name on the device. The secretary of state shall adopt rules governing the processing of electronic signatures captured under this subsection.
