Tex. Human Resources Code Section 22.011
Memorandum of Understanding on Services to Persons with Disabilities


(a)

The commission, the department, the Department of State Health Services, the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, the Department of Family and Protective Services, and the Texas Education Agency shall enter into a joint memorandum of understanding to facilitate the coordination of services to persons with disabilities. The memorandum shall:

(1)

clarify the financial and service responsibilities of each agency in relation to persons with disabilities; and

(2)

address how the agency will share data relating to services delivered to persons with disabilities by each agency.

(b)

These agencies in the formulation of this memorandum of understanding shall consult with and solicit input from advocacy and consumer groups.

(c)

Not later than the last month of each state fiscal year, the agencies shall review and update the memorandum.

(d)

The executive commissioner and the commissioner of education by rule shall adopt the memorandum of understanding and all revisions to the memorandum.
