Tex. Occ. Code Section 266.251
Grounds for Disciplinary Action


(a)

The board may refuse to issue a registration certificate, may impose a fine on a person who holds a registration certificate, may suspend or revoke a person’s registration certificate, or may probate any portion of the suspension if, after a hearing, the board determines that the applicant or certificate holder has:

(1)

violated or aided another person in violating a law regulating the practice of dentistry; or

(2)

required or allowed a person under the direction or control of the person to violate a law regulating the practice of dentistry.

(b)

In this section, an applicant for or holder of a registration certificate includes a person who has at least a 20 percent ownership interest in or is the general partner or managing partner in a dental laboratory that is registered under this chapter or for which an application for registration has been filed.
