Tex. Spec. Dist. Local Laws Code Section 7817.0102
Nature of District

The district is:

(1)

a levee improvement district created under and essential to accomplish the purposes of Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution; and

(2)

a political subdivision of this state.
