Tex. Occ. Code Section 455.101
Advisory Board Membership


(a)

The advisory board consists of nine members appointed by the presiding officer of the commission with the approval of the commission as follows:

(1)

two members who are licensed massage therapists;

(2)

two members who represent licensed massage schools;

(3)

two members who represent licensed massage establishments;

(4)

one member who is a peace officer with expertise in the enforcement of Chapter 20A (Trafficking of Persons), Penal Code, and Subchapter A (Definitions), Chapter 43 (Public Indecency), Penal Code; and

(5)

two members of the public.

(b)

Appointments to the advisory board shall be made without regard to the race, color, disability, sex, religion, age, or national origin of the appointee.
